companions
Companions in Ministry are women and men who desire to promote the congregation's spirit and mission by ministering with the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia.
- Those who share in our mission
- Those who minister with us
Choosing to be a Companion in Ministry
The unique dimension of this form of companion relationship is that the companion actively participates in a specific ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis. A Companion in Ministry does one of the following:
- currently ministers with a Sister of St. Francis (i.e., in one of the congregationally-sponsored institutions);
- does regular periodic work with Sister(s) of St. Francis;
- commit to one or two years of volunteer work with the sisters in their ministry and through a simple lifestyle;
- receives no stipend or insurance, this relationship is service-oriented and volunteer-based.
We invite you to prayerfully discern whether you are being drawn to the Franciscan Companion in Mission relationship. Please feel free to contact us.
