Administrative Assistant to Congregational Leadership, Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Aston, PA 

Position Summary:

Provides secretarial and administrative support to Congregational Leadership.  Some of the duties include: taking and preparing meeting minutes, developing reports and formats, preparing a quarterly and annual report, creating a master schedule, shared drives and group distribution lists, filing and archiving materials, setting up conference calls and scheduling meetings, and working in collaboration with other support staff members. Maintains confidentiality with respect to the sisters, issues and information.

Qualifications:

  • minimum of five (5) years experience as a secretary or administrative assistant in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Associates degree or business school a plus 
  • committed to excellence and stewardship
  • demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • professional and flexible
  • self-starter; has initiative and works independently

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES


Canticle Garden Volunteer (Seasonal Opportunity)

Volunteers are needed to help preserve the Sisters of St. Francis’ landscape by volunteering to help in the Canticle Garden. Assist in maintaining our herb garden, Lourdes Shrine, and our Labyrinth. If you enjoy gardening and welcome the opportunity, volunteer to work with our garden staff to maintain one of these garden spots.  This opportunity involves occasional volunteering in the garden over the course of the season.
