Aston, PA—The Annual Sisters of St. Francis Golf Outing takes place on Monday, September 13, 2010 and, for the first time, the event will include a tennis competition. The location will be the Radley Run Country Club in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Sisters of St. Francis’ ministries that serve those who are poor, marginal, or oppressed.
Cost for participation for golf is $325 per person or $1,200 for a foursome and includes greens fees, cart, contests, mulligans, lunch, cocktails, and dinner. For tennis participants, the cost is $150 and includes tennis, contests, lunch, cocktails, and dinner. Auction items will include a get-away package to Naples, Florida, a home security system, Eagles and Phillies tickets, sports memorabilia, and much, much more. Team and door prizes will also be awarded.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available! All sponsors receive recognition on the day of the event and in promotional materials. Masonry Restoration, Inc., a recognized leader in the historic preservation and exterior building restoration industry, is the Platinum Sponsor for this year’s event.
Today, nearly 600 Sisters of St. Francis serve in a variety of ministries that include education at all levels; healthcare; pastoral care; service to elderly persons; care of those who are homeless, poor, or living with HIV/AIDS; immigrants and refugees; and prayer and spiritual ministries. Although there is a large concentration of sisters in the Delaware Valley area, sisters live and serve in 22 states as well as in Puerto Rico, Africa, and Ireland.
